Privacy policy

This site is run by the L200 Owners Club. This page sets out what we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do about it. Contact us at info@l200s.com.

What we collect

  • When you join: a username, your email address, and a password (stored only as a one-way hash — nobody, including us, can read it).
  • What you choose to add: display name, a short bio, your truck’s model and year, and roughly where you are. All optional, all publicly visible on your profile.
  • What you post: topics, replies and any photos you upload. These are public.
  • Automatically: your IP address is recorded with posts and replies, as standard WordPress behaviour, to help deal with spam and abuse.

Cookies

We set a cookie when you log in, so the site remembers you. That’s it — no advertising or tracking cookies, and no third-party analytics.

Email

We email you only about things you took part in: a reply to your topic, or your answer being accepted. You can turn these off at any time on your account page. We do not send marketing email and we never sell or share your address.

Who else sees your data

  • Pressable hosts the site and therefore stores this data on our behalf.
  • Titan carries our outgoing email.
  • Gravatar may receive a hashed version of your email address in order to show your profile picture.

We don’t share your data with anyone else.

How long we keep it

For as long as your account exists. Posts are generally kept even if you leave, because removing one side of a conversation makes the thread useless to the next owner — but we’ll anonymise them on request.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account. Email info@l200s.com and we’ll deal with it within a month. If you’re unhappy with how we handle it you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
