Short version: it’s a club, not a comments section. Be the sort of member you’d want to get an answer from.
The rules
- Keep it civil. Disagree with the advice, not the person. No abuse, no pile-ons, no digs at someone’s truck.
- No spam or advertising. Trade sales go in Buying & Selling. If you’re a business, say so plainly rather than posing as an owner.
- Give the full picture when you ask. Model, year, mileage, engine, what you’ve already tried. Half a question gets half an answer.
- Say what fixed it. If your problem gets solved, come back and mark the answer. The next owner with the same fault is the whole point of this place.
- Don’t post someone else’s details. No names, addresses, registrations or phone numbers that aren’t yours.
- Safety-critical work. Advice here is from owners, not qualified mechanics. Brakes, steering, towing and suspension are yours to get checked properly.
- One account each. No second accounts to back yourself up or get round a ban.
Buying and selling
The club doesn’t vet sellers and takes no part in deals between members. Check the truck, check the paperwork, and don’t send money to someone you haven’t met. A Trusted Trader badge means other members have vouched for them — it isn’t a guarantee from us.
Moderation
New members’ first few posts are held for a moderator before going live — it’s how we keep the spam out, and it stops after a handful of posts. Anything breaking the rules above gets removed. Persistent offenders lose their account.
Think a decision was wrong? Say so — email info@l200s.com rather than arguing it out in the thread.
